Origin of Quetzalcoatl’s Nest Serpent Design

The Quetzalcoatl’s Nest airbnb pays homage to an ancient Aztec god known as the feathered or plumed serpent. And judging by the pics, Dua Lipa’s visit to the condo was one to remember.

With the aim of creating an organic space that would respect the rugged natural environment of Naucalpan de Juárez, just north of Mexico City. The architect Javier Senosiain built a serpent-like structure (complete with a mesmerising head and tail) that maximises the natural caves and curves surrounding it.

Inside Quetzalcoatl’s Nest

The entire exterior design of the Quetzalcoatl’s Nest is coated with technicolors. And that’s why the location featured in The Most Amazing Vacation Rentals show by Netflix.

The Quetzalcoatl’s Nest, architectural design, features a head and tail. In addition to having a curved body (like a snake) with cave-like walkways inside. If you are interested, this accommodation can host up to six people in four rooms for $355 a night.

Quetzalcoatl’s Nest in Mexico City

However, unlike the colorful exterior, the interior design of this rental is minimalist and modern, with walls in neutral cores and wood accents, but it still has some attractive highlights, like the stained glass doors.

Plus the extravagant seating area with modern design furniture and rounded corner-shaped areas that sit right in front of the window overlooking the extensive landscaping. The whole space also has a special park with a botanical garden, a mineral cave and lakes, making it the perfect place to relax.

Of course, you can also expect jaw-dropping views of the surrounding landscape, which looks as though it’s been inspired by the pages of a fantasy novel. It truly has to be seen to be believed, and once you have, it’ll be hard to imagine a location more able to inspire relaxation, creativity, and pure wonder.
