Martyn Lawrence Bullard: “Live, Love and Decorate”
Martyn Lawrence Bullard who was born actually as “Martin” Lawrence Bullard is an acknowledged English interior designer. “Live, love and Decorate” defines his motto and his way of living. From his life to his work, Martyn believes in “living each day to its fullest, loving with an abandoned passion and decorating to our heart’s content”.
Besides the prestigious career as an interior designer, Martyn Bullard is also an author and famous television personality, starring in shows like Bravo Series Million Dollar Decorators and Channels 4’s Hollywood Me.
Curiously, Martyn Lawrence Bullard started as an actor and, one day, a producer who visited his home, was truly impressed by its décor. Since then, he invited Bullard to decorate his office and home of Liz Heller, a Capitol Records executive. This random moment ignited his career in interior design. Martyn Bullard’s keen sense for décor was developed when Bullard was only a 13-year boy when he used to sell “oddments”. This helped him to learn how to identify decorator items that were valuable.
Martyn Bullard is known for his eclectic yet sophisticated style for luxury interiors with a multi-award-winning career. Bullard has already described his style as “Hollywood glamour meets ethnic exotica”. Although all the luxury and sophistication, Martyn also defends that modern luxury means comfort, and for that reason, in the end, it’s how comfortable you make your home.
Some of the awards include “Andre Martin International Interior Design of the Year, Architectural Digest AD100 for many occasions, Elle Décor Top 25, Elle Décor A-List, among many other prestigious prizes.
