Elise Side Table represents a memorial recognition to one of the most important expressions of the romanticism architecture of the XIX century. With Pena Palace, in Portugal, in mind and inspired by its windows and towers, as well as by its beautifully romantic gardens, Malabar’s designers highlighted the mysticism and rich variation of styles that involve the iconic shape of the building. Elise Side Table celebrates the romantic love story between D. Fernando, Sintra’s Palace owner, and Elise Hensler, an opera singer that became countess. Elise Side Table is made in an opulent black lacquer body, ornamented with polished brass and bronze mirror that creates this contrasts between a strong and heavy appearance, with light and subtle details. As the Pena Palace is considered one of the seven Portugal wonders, this iconic piece was created to be the wonder of your living room.
