Chest of Drawers

Hollow is a public artwork, installed in the grounds of the Bristol University by the architects Zeller & Moye and the artist Katie Paterson. It combines different types of wood from more than 10,000 tree species. Inspired by such superb structure, Malabar conceived a very special piece: the Hollow Chest of Drawers.

It features several woods, like bird’s eye, elm wood root, patchwork marquetry in ironwood and American walnut, blended with a polished brass structure. This piece belongs to the Hollow Family pieces.The Hollow Chest of Drawers will create a beautiful landscape in any contemporary home décor with its dynamics struture and wood components.

Materials: Structure in polished brass. Drawers composed of bird’s eye veneer, elm burl veneer, ironwood veneer mosaic, walnut wood veneer, maple root veneer, finished with high gloss varnish. Drawer interiors coated in gold leaf.
