Hollow is a public artwork, installed in the grounds of the Bristol University by the architects Zeller & Moye and the artist Katie Paterson. It combines different types of wood from more than 10,000 tree species. Inspired by such superb structure, Malabar conceived a very special piece: the Hollow Chest of Drawers. It features several woods, like bird’s eye, elm wood root, patchwork marquetry in ironwood and American walnut, blended with a polished brass structure.
